Caring for your Pent-Up jewellery and accessories

  • Brooch with pink, black and orange ribbon

    Cleaning

Fabric and ribbon can be cleaned by gently wiping with a damp cloth.

Unless stated otherwise, metal elements are sterling silver and can be cleaned with a soft cloth and jewellery cleaner.

If using jewellery cleaner take care to only clean the metal as fabrics may stain.

Our Story

Welcome to Pent-Up! Unique colourful jewellery and accessories formed of pentagons made from ribbons and recycled fabrics.

Lisa here, brains (and hands!) behind Pent-Up.

The spark for this business came more than a decade ago, experimenting with ribbon folding techniques. I was inspired by origami as well as by natural forms (such as scales and pinecones) and found a way to make the pleasing pentagonal shape that gives Pent-Up its name. I made several types of jewellery items and even sold some at a craft fair. However, life took over and I shelved the idea for many years.

Being furloughed from my day job during the pandemic brought me the time to revisit my designs and (with the support of friends and family) I was able to launch the brand properly in November 2020.

Since then I have been lucky enough to have my designs stocked in the independent gifts and homewares shop, Pod, in Bristol and receive a number of commissions through my Etsy store.

Sustainability

Pent-Up packaging (tissue paper, card, boxes, shipping materials) is recyclable and from recycled sources.

Wherever possible, vintage and recycled ribbon and fabric is used to make Pent-Up designs.
